GENERAL INFORMATION
Our very efficient Fiber Laser Cutters are fed directly from coils.
Parts of any lengths can be produced while the material waste (scrap) is reduced.
The equipment needs less space than a flatbed laser cutter.
The produced parts remain fixed with small micro joints, that can easily be adjusted.
We use the IPG fibre laser sources with:
- optimal cutting performances on aluminium and stainless steel
- low energy consumption
- low maintenance costs (glass fibre cable and no use of mirrors).
Available laser power: 1.0 , 1.5, 2.0 or 3.0 kW.
(2 kW generally recommendable. Please see cutting speed example below. With just 1 kW, the cutting speed is just half of that; material with protective foil cannot be processed and coated materials are difficult to work. With material thickness 2mm a 2 or 3 kW laser source is required.)
Robust “Precitec” cutting head, Light Cutter type: with easy manual-adjusting of focus height, automatic height adjustment and protection glass inside.
“Sigmatek” machine control system, motion control by touch screen on left side of machine.
The machine configuration can easily be varied on customers’ demand.
The produced parts move over brushes and rubberized rolls, to avoid scratches.
The machine can be fed from various decoilers (static or mounted on wheels; undriven or powered…), with semi-automatic selection.
High cutting speed up to 25 m/min. (With, e.g.: .8mm thick Alu. or S.S. coils and 2 kW laser power, the cutting speed is ca. 20m / min
Whilst, normally nitrogen or oxygen are used in laser cutting, we obtained very good performances with compressed air from normal compressors. For this, a booster is required to get proper pressure*.
Only for thin sheet metal.
(* An air compressor that delivers at least 15 bars is required, to avoid having to buy the booster. The machine needs at least 12 bar at the cutting head = a 14 bar input
Three different widths are available for our laser cutters: 1020mm, 1270mm and 1520mm.
Different widths also, on demand.
For producing ducts (HVAC) or insulation cladding in particular, Autodesk Fabrication Camduct is recommendable. However other programming systems can be used as well.
